<h2>Of course, the kicker is&#8230;each of these sites require the agent pay to get a rating.</h2>
<p>So from a consumer standpoint does that make the agent a good agent?  It’s doubtful.  At least one of these sites has a negative positive by an agent who wanted a negative report taken off because it wasn’t true.  Supposedly they wouldn’t do it until the agent signed up for the service and paid.</p>
<h3>How does that help the consumer?  Personally, we don’t see any value here.</h3>
<p><strong>The best consumer rating is an agents past clients.</strong>  As an agent you should always ask your clients for a referral letter.</p>
<p>If you are a consumer, ask the potential agent you are going to work with for referral letters from past clients or names and phone numbers of past clients they can talk to.  A good agent will not have a problem providing this kind of information.</p>
<p><strong>Always check and double check negative reports.  Some people make it a ‘sport’ to file negative references.  Remember, there are always 2 sides to every story!</strong></p>
